Team chat apps like Google Hangouts, Microsoft Teams, Slack and Cisco Webex teams have transformed the way we communicate and engage in real-time. 83% of professionals depend on technology to collaborate today. A lot of time and money is spent on these types of tools.
How do you know if you’re using these tools correctly? Team chat really is sync or swim. Or sync or sink, actually. If you’re using them correctly, you’re syncing. If you’re not, you’re more likely to be sinking.

There’s more to leveraging your enterprise chat apps than simply installing the most popular tool on the market. Adding extra tools to your technology stack doesn’t help if they simply add to fragmentation and silos in your business.

If your turnover is increasing, instead of falling then it’s safe to say that something has gone wrong. In a world where employees have more power than ever, it’s crucial that your comms strategy is working with you, rather than against, in the war for talent.
Make sure collaboration tools you implement into your workspace are helping people to form deeper connections with their co-workers. A chat app should be a way to improve immersion in company culture, regardless of whether you’re an on-premises, or remote employee.
